Floryn Glass is a true triple threat, and proud member of the Actor's Equity Association. She is a proud native New Yorker who has had the "theater bug" since her first performance at 4 years old. When she stepped off of the stage for the first time, she told her mom, "I couldn't help it, I just smiled to death!" Since then, Floryn has sung, danced and acted from sea to sea, having now been to 44 states!
Her favorite roles include Velma in Chicago, Rosemary in Bullshot Crummond, Patsy in Crazy For You, Cha-Cha in Grease,
Elizabeth in A Christmas Carol, a Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast,
Betty Jean in The Winter Wonderettes, Sadako in A Thousand Cranes and in the vocal ensembele of the Drama League's Annual Benefit 2011, which honored Patti Lupone. Floryn joined the company of Nobody Suspects a Butterfly, starring Anthony Rapp in May, 2011. She is also a proud company member of Circle of Dance Repertory Company, and performs with the Long Island Philharmonic.
She has performed in lead and featured roles in New York, and at
Westchester Broadway Theatre, Tuacahn Amphitheater, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, and Bigfork Playhouse, to name a few. She has worked with reknowned directors, music directors, and choreographers, such as
Cady Huffman, Eugene Gwozdz, Chris Henry, Richard Stafford,
Cailin Heffernan, Stephen Purdy and Paula Sloan.
Floryn has also played lead roles in two independent films shot in New York, as well as the pilot "The Wow." She holds a B.S. in Theater with a minor in Dance and concentrated music study from Skidmore College, and has studied intensively at Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting, and with Broadway star Jodie Langel. She currently studies voice with Broadway star Jeannette Bayardelle, and classically with Linda Larson.
